Clock started at vessel arrival, contract says discharge

The carrier's demurrage invoice counts free time from vessel arrival on 1 September. The service contract says free time starts the day after full discharge, which the terminal shows as 3 September.

What the agent does

  1. Read the free-time clause in the contract and the invoice's stated start date
  2. Pull the discharge timestamp from terminal events
  3. Recompute chargeable days from the contractual start
  4. Compare line by line with the invoice and quantify the over-billing

What you get back

Dispute file: timeline with sources, clause quoted, computed 2 chargeable days vs 4 invoiced, letter draft citing clause 4.2 and the discharge event.
